Description

Our RII60515 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design reflects the role of senior civil works designers or para-professional designers who support professional engineers. They perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating activities. They are responsible for the design of complex projects to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements.

During the course duration, you will learn to perform the below tasks:
  • Leading and managing team effectiveness
  • Managing program risk
  • Establishing and maintaining a quality system
  • Advising on the application of safe design principles to control WHS risk
  • Managing the civil works design process

RTO Entry Requirements
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older
  • SITS requires the successful completion of studies equivalent to Australian Year 12 education as the minimum level of entry into our courses.
  • International student will need to provide valid Visa copy, Passport copy and additional academic documents. An International student may need to provide English IELTS score 5.5 or above or anything equivalent to the same level of English if applying offshore. However, if the student has completed a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Australia and is onshore, then the IELTS is not required (please refer to student handbook);
  • SITS requires students to complete a customised Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) assessment. LLN assessment is conducted to identify any support individual learners need prior to their enrolment or commencement.
