Crowd Control QLD Refresher

Description

The Crowd Controller Refresher course provides the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain a current Queensland Crowd Controller Licence. This short refresher training covers essential updates in legislation, industry standards, and best practices related to crowd control, conflict resolution, and use of force.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites, but the following are required:

You must be 18 years or older
Provide valid government-issued photo identification
Hold a current QLD Security Licence with the crowd control function
Verbal and written communication skills to interpret legislation and communicate effectively in crowd control scenarios
Basic language and numeracy skills are required to understand course materials and complete assessments

Clients

This course is designed for licenced security professionals in Queensland who are currently employed or seeking to maintain their eligibility to work in crowd control roles, including:

Nightclubs and bars
Major public events and festivals
Licensed venues and entertainment centres
Sporting events and stadiums

Every 3 years

You must complete these training modules every 3 years to refresh your knowledge and skills:

CPPSEC3101 Manage conflict and security risks through negotiation
CPPSEC3121 Control persons using empty hand techniques
and either of
- HLTAID011 Provide first aid
- HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid

Recertification Requirements

In Queensland, crowd controllers must complete refresher training every 3 years to keep their security licence current. The Office of Fair Trading requires completion of the three nationally recognised units included in this course.
